Utilizing ARM-integrated FPGA! Introducing research on high-speed image processing and motor control.

We are further enhancing the control of the ping pong ball as the final installment. The images of the ping pong ball input from the camera were processed in a time-division manner by the ARM and logic within the FPGA, but to increase processing speed, we implemented improvements in feedback speed and memory access within the FPGA. However, regarding the control of the fan that actually levitates the ping pong ball, we are using a cooling fan intended for PC applications, which does not allow for precise control and quick response. *For detailed information about the case, please refer to the related links. DE1-SoC Terasic Altera ARMSoC Board

DE1-SoC, the latest board suitable for introduction, evaluation, development, and education of Altera SoC FPGA ARM, is available for immediate delivery.

The DE1-SoC is the latest FPGA evaluation, development, education, and introductory board from Terasic, equipped with the Cyclone V SE SoC. It is recommended as a successor to the DE0, DE1, DE2, and DE2-70. The DE1-SoC features the Altera Cyclone V SE 5CSEMA5F31C6N, which includes an HPS section with an ARM core in addition to the FPGA part, making it suitable for education in microcontrollers and embedded systems as well as logic systems like FPGAs. The Cyclone V generation has evolved its architecture from the previous generation Cyclone IV, offering higher performance in many aspects compared to the traditional Cyclone IV, III, and II generations. The process evolution to 28nm provides advantages in speed, power, and heat generation compared to the previous generation. Compared to the old DE1, the board's I/O capabilities have been enhanced to include video input, and the VGA has been upgraded to 8-bit x 3. With the addition of a G sensor and a 12-bit 8-channel A/D converter, the range of applications for the board has expanded. It also includes a USB Blaster II that connects via USB 2.0 (HS), allowing for faster communication with PCs than before. The DE0-CV is an evaluation, development, and educational introductory board equipped with Altera's FPGA Cyclone V E. The older generation Cyclone III and Cyclone II boards, such as the DE0, DE1, and DE2, which were released in 2009, are no longer supported by the latest Quartus II development tools. For new introductions, we recommend the DE0-CV, DE1-SoC, and DE0-Nano-SoC. The DE0-CV is equipped with Altera's FPGA Cyclone V E 5CEBA4F23C7N, allowing development with the latest Quartus II v14.x and later. In addition to logic systems like FPGAs, it can also be used for education related to embedded systems using the Nios II CPU. Almost all resources have increased, making the transition from the DE0 easy. At Tateno Denno, we also sell Cyclone V equipped products such as the DE10-Nano and DE10-Standard, as well as Agilex 3 and Agilex 5 equipped boards like the Atum A3 Nano, DE25-Standard, and Atum A5 Nano.
