CFRP Cutting Machining Thick Plate "Fercarbo" Isotropic Grade

Standard grade of Felcarbo. It is a plate with minimal strength variation on the surface.

**Features** - Solves the machining difficulties associated with CFRP, enabling high-precision processing using carbide cutting tools typically used for metal machining. - Achieves thick plate formation of up to 45mm by using thick felt-like carbon fibers, allowing for greater freedom in processing shapes while being offered at a lower price than conventional CFRP. - Even when compared to lightweight aluminum alloys (A5052), its specific gravity is only about half. At a size of Φ450×10, it weighs approximately 2.1kg, making it very lightweight, with a tensile strength about 1.3 times that of aluminum alloys. - The coefficient of thermal expansion is approximately 7.5×10^(-6)/℃, which is about 30% of that of aluminum alloys and about 60% of carbon steel. Compared to common metals, it exhibits high dimensional stability against temperature changes. - Other features include: - Thermal insulation - Non-magnetic - Corrosion resistance (no rust or corrosion occurs)

Fiber Reinforced Plastic "CFRTP"

Responding to product requirements based on characteristics! Increased productivity in the assembly process is expected through thermal welding.

"CFRTP" is a fiber-reinforced plastic that uses CF as a reinforcing material and employs thermoplastic resin instead of thermosetting resin as the base material. It allows for a reduction in the molding process, enabling press processing and melt bonding, achieving significant improvements in productivity and low costs. Compared to thermosetting resins, thermoplastics have higher toughness, resulting in excellent impact resistance. Additionally, our company can perform shaping and pressurization simultaneously using the press molding method for "CFRTP," completing the cycle from material input to molding in a short time. 【Features】 ■ High mass production capability ■ Wide variety of resin lineups ■ Improved impact resistance and toughness ■ Easy material storage ■ Fusion bonding capability ■ Recyclable *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Analysis Case] CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Internal Fiber Orientation Analysis

Case study of CFRP analysis using X-ray CT.

CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is a resin material that uses carbon fibers as a reinforcing material, characterized by its lightweight and high strength and rigidity. The internal fiber structure of CFRP was observed using X-ray CT. As a result, we were able to observe clusters of carbon fibers with a diameter of approximately 7 μm, and we also conducted an analysis of the fiber orientation.
