SHAPE FIELD Free sample limited giveaway of CFRP!

【Sample distribution ongoing!】It can be widely used as a material that is stronger and lighter than metal materials.

"CFRP (Carbon Composite)" refers to carbon fiber reinforced plastic. It is a composite material made of carbon fibers and resin (such as epoxy and phenol), which is much stronger and lighter compared to metal materials. By combining various materials such as fiber direction, the number of fiber laminates, high-strength fibers, and aramid fibers, it can achieve even higher rigidity. It is also possible to possess excellent properties such as X-ray permeability, dimensional stability, vibration damping, and chemical resistance. Our company offers free samples of "CFRP." If you are interested, please feel free to contact us. 【What is CFRP?】 ■ CF (Carbon Fiber) = Carbon Fiber → PAN-based - Polyacrylonitrile is the raw material - Medium elasticity and high strength: Tensile modulus 24t to 60t, tensile strength 330 to 600 kgf/mm² → Pitch-based - Petroleum pitch or coal pitch is the raw material - Many high-elasticity products: Tensile modulus 5.5t to 95t, tensile strength 112 to 400 kgf/mm² *If you would like a free sample, please contact our company. *Samples are limited in quantity. Please understand that we may not be able to provide them.

【Application Recruitment】Leave it to us for CFRP/carbon pipes!

Not just lightweight and strong! We are looking for applications for CFRP pipes with an outer diameter ranging from a minimum of 5mm to a maximum of 300mm, and a maximum length of 4m!

CFRP/Carbon Pipe??? Some may not be familiar with it. ―Various Characteristics of CFRP― ■Mechanical Properties: High strength, high elasticity, vibration damping ■Physical Properties: Low thermal expansion, dimensional stability, conductivity, high thermal conductivity, X-ray permeability ■Chemical Properties: Corrosion resistance, chemical resistance The greatest feature of CFRP, as we at Graphite Design see it, is "carbon fiber = anisotropic material / changes in properties due to orientation," which is our area of expertise. By adjusting the grade, position, and angle of the carbon fibers, we can create pipes with various performances, not just lightweight pipes. Since our establishment in 1989, we have applied the molding technology (sheet winding molding) developed in our golf shaft division to create patented CFRP circular pipes that can also be processed into polygonal pipes. Currently, we are exploring new possibilities for CFRP pipes and are actively seeking new applications. - Could it be used for this purpose? - Could it be substituted in this area? Please feel free to contact us with any inquiries or consultations. We would be grateful to take on new challenges together.

[CFRP Processing Example] Processing of CFRP Materials for Aerospace Applications

Leave the processing of CFRP materials to us! Here are examples of processing for aerospace applications.

This document provides an example of processing "T800S," which is sometimes used in space and aerospace applications. Since this material contains both thermosetting and thermoplastic resins, the difficulty of processing increases compared to when only thermosetting resin is used. During actual processing, there were areas where delamination occurred, but through trial and error within the company, we were able to find conditions suitable for this product. 【Overview】 ■ Example of processing "T800S," which is sometimes used in space and aerospace applications ■ Mixture of thermosetting and thermoplastic resins ■ High processing difficulty *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[CFRP Processing Example] CFRP Processing Sample

Cleanly processed corners where peeling and delamination are likely to occur! Introduction of CFRP processing samples.

This time, we present a machining case using "T700," a material also used in aircraft. The machining includes a pocket with a depth of 3mm on a 10mm thick plate, a φ6.35 drilling operation, and trimming processes. Unlike iron, the cutting tools wear out quickly, so if machining is done with even slightly dull tools, it can lead to delamination or a state where only the fibers remain. Through various prototypes and research on the differences in machining compared to iron, we were able to create a sample that does not experience delamination. [Overview (Surface)] ■ Material: T700 (thermosetting CFRP) ■ Dimensions: A/75mm B/100mm t/10mm ■ Drilling: φ6.375 ■ Pocket machining: 3mm ■ Trimming: 10mm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

CFRTP: Changes in fracture behavior due to differences in laminate patterns.

CFRP can change not only its strength but also the way it breaks by altering the layering pattern!

CFRP can be molded by pressing an intermediate material called prepreg. There are two types of prepreg: one that has fibers oriented in two directions using plain weave or twill weave, and another that has fibers oriented in only one direction (UD). The prepreg with plain or twill weave has half the fiber orientation compared to the one-directional prepreg, resulting in approximately half the strength. By changing the stacking pattern of CFRP, not only the strength but also the manner of failure can be altered. To find the appropriate stacking method according to specifications, it is necessary to accumulate verification through experiments. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

Features of Flexcarbon: <Complex Shape Molding Capability>

We propose two molding methods tailored to your needs! It is possible to create complex shapes.

We would like to introduce the characteristics of "Flexcarbon," specifically regarding its ability to mold complex shapes. This product enables the creation of complex shapes (such as variable thickness and honeycomb shapes) through press molding. By preheating the material, we can perform high-cycle molding processing for one minute using the cold press method known as "stamping molding." Additionally, by heating the mold to enhance the flowability of the material, we can fill the material (fibers and resin) into the fine tips of complex shapes using the "heat & cool" method. We will propose these two molding methods tailored to our customers' needs as we move towards mass production. 【Stamping Molding Process】 ■STEP 1: Material Preheating ■STEP 2: Transport and Mold Clamping ■STEP 3: Press Molding ■STEP 4: Demolding *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

About the benefits of CCM (carbon fiber reinforced carbon composites).

Lightweight, resistant to breaking, and less prone to thermal deformation! A detailed introduction to the benefits of CCM.

Our company offers a material called 'CCM (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Carbon Composite)' that is lightweight, highly tough, and resistant to thermal deformation. The benefits of using CCM include the possibility of weight reduction. It allows for a reduction in the electrical energy used for heating and also shortens heating and cooling times. This means that production volume can be increased, contributing to further quality improvement. Additionally, its high toughness makes it easy to handle and safe to use, and it has the characteristic of being resistant to thermal deformation, resulting in a longer lifespan compared to metal. It can maintain product precision, such as in molds, and can be used maintenance-free on automatic transport lines. [Features] - Possibility of weight reduction - High toughness and resistance to cracking - Resistance to thermal deformation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
