It is a gas sensor that has a high sensitivity to tobacco smoke and cooking odors.

The gas sensor consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater. When detectable gases are present, the sensor's conductivity increases as the concentration of the gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2600 has high sensitivity to tobacco smoke and cooking odors. By using relative value detection (which detects air pollution based on how much the sensor's resistance changes from a baseline of clean air), it achieves control that is closer to human perception. This is a gas sensor that has high sensitivity to refrigerant gases widely used in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including A2L refrigerant gases and A3 refrigerant gases.

The gas sensor consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater. When detectable gases are present, the conductivity of the sensor increases as the concentration of that gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2630 is a gas sensor that has high sensitivity to mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant gases such as R-32 and R-1234yf, as well as highly flammable (A3) refrigerant gases like R-290 (propane), in addition to widely used refrigerants like R-404a and R-410a in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. It has a built-in filter material, which results in low sensitivity to volatile alcohols (interfering gases in residential environments), thus demonstrating high selectivity for mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant gases. When introducing a 1000 ppm hydrogen-nitrogen mixture into 100% nitrogen, a change in resistance value exceeding one digit and a response time of less than one second is possible.

To solve the depletion of fossil fuels and environmental issues, hydrogen is being recognized as a potentially useful energy resource for the future. However, there is a risk of explosion if the hydrogen concentration in the atmosphere exceeds 4%, making it essential to have hydrogen sensors that can accurately and quickly detect hydrogen leaks to use hydrogen fuel safely. In other words, the top priority for hydrogen utilization is said to be the development of sensors that are indispensable for safety measures to ensure the secure use of the system, rather than the development of fuel cells themselves. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a hydrogen sensor that has a simple structure, is low-cost, highly durable, and possesses high detection sensitivity, a wide detection range, and hydrogen gas selectivity.
