Nitrate nitrogen sensor Folina

Accurately measure nitrate nitrogen in tomato leaves in just "7 seconds" without cutting the leaves! Achieve countermeasures against rising fertilizer costs, quality improvement, and reduced environmental impact with this one device!

Folina is a new sensor that can instantly measure the nitrate nitrogen concentration in tomato leaves non-destructively and optically by simply clamping the leaves. Main features: - Contributes to reducing fertilizer costs and increasing yields through optimal fertilization - Helps reduce environmental impact by suppressing excessive fertilization (reducing N₂O emissions) - Allows for real-time measurements multiple times without damaging the leaves - Traditional methods (juicing method) take 10 minutes per sample → with Folina, it takes about 7 seconds!

Hydrogen detection gas sensor TGS2616-C00

It is a gas sensor that has high selectivity for hydrogen.

The gas sensor element consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater, and is housed in a standard T0-5 package. When detectable gases are present, the conductivity of the sensor increases as the concentration of that gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2616-C00, equipped with a newly developed gas sensor element, shows reduced influence from interfering gases such as alcohol and exhibits high selectivity sensitivity to hydrogen. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.

Methane/Carbon Monoxide Detection Gas Sensor TGS3870-F00

It is a gas sensor that can detect both methane and carbon monoxide.

The TGS3870-F00 is a semiconductor gas sensor of the microbead type that uses metal oxides. By periodically applying different heater voltages of High and Low to the sensor, it is possible to detect both methane and carbon monoxide with a single sensor. Additionally, since the gas detection volume is extremely small, the heater's power consumption is kept to just 38mW (average). The TGS3870-F00 has almost no sensitivity to alcohol vapor, which is an interfering gas in residential environments, and is highly durable, making it an ideal sensor for composite gas leak alarms. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.

Combustible gas detection gas sensor TGS6812-D00

It is a highly sensitive gas sensor for hydrogen, methane, and LP gas.

The contact combustion-type gas sensor TGS6812-D00 can detect hydrogen gas up to the lower explosive limit concentration (100% LEL). This sensor is characterized by high precision, durability, stability, fast response, and linear output. It can detect not only hydrogen gas but also methane gas and LP gas, making it an excellent solution for gas leak detection from fuel cell systems that reform combustible gases into hydrogen gas. The sensor cap contains a unique built-in filter that has low sensitivity to miscellaneous gases such as organic vapors and is designed to be highly durable against silicone even in harsh environments. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.

Efforts towards new gas detection sensor technology

Gas sensors using microheaters achieve safer and more efficient gas detection through high sensitivity, low power consumption, and compact design.

Our company is working on a new technology that utilizes microheaters based on semiconductor technology, moving away from the traditional platinum coils used in contact combustion gas sensors. Microheaters can achieve instantaneous temperature increases and high sensitivity detection due to their high reactivity, while also being energy-efficient due to low power consumption. Traditional gas sensors required a large power consumption and had to be configured for AC power supply. Gas sensors utilizing microheaters can operate for long periods on battery power.
