Hitting with a stick and the hopper becoming uneven or the welds cracking due to impact have also been eliminated!

At a synthetic resin manufacturer, they are measuring powder using an air transport hopper, which also serves as a dust collector hopper. They experienced discharge issues with this hopper, and neither a knocker nor a vibrator was effective. Additionally, a wire mesh filter installed just above the discharge outlet was severely clogged, causing them trouble, which led them to consult us. They adopted the Brodydisk (installed in the regular hopper section) and the Brodydisk Mini (installed just above the discharge outlet), which resolved their issues. This user mentioned that, in addition to the current powder, they sometimes handle "very poorly flowing and highly adhesive troublesome fine powders," so they installed more Brodydisks than usual compared to typical cases. This time, blow disks have been installed in three hoppers. The blow disk releases air along the inner wall of the hopper while simultaneously vibrating a silicone disk. An air vibrator was used as a countermeasure for poor powder discharge, but in some cases with certain powders, it did not work well, leading to the installation of our product. During testing, the material was a relatively good-flowing powder, and the installation of two BroaDisk Minis improved the discharge issues. However, it was noted that there may be cases in the future with materials that have significantly poor flowability, resulting in the adoption of four BroaDisk Minis. We would like to introduce a case where our "Brodisk" was delivered to a manufacturer that produces powder-related equipment. This was a project for a new customer, who requested, "The material frequently causes rat holes, so we would like you to take sufficient measures." To ensure thoroughness, we installed a total of 8 units in 2 tiers, with 4 units for this hopper. During the on-site trial operation, there were no troubles at all, and we received positive feedback. Since our product is an economical device, increasing the number of installations does not significantly impact the total cost. In this case, the controller remains the same whether 4 or 8 units are installed, so the cost difference between 4 and 8 units is not substantial. Therefore, it is very rational. Towards an ideal control method! Introducing a case study of the implementation of Brodisk at a chemical company.

This is a case where a Brodie disk was installed in the hopper of a powder processing test device at a chemical company. The material being processed was quite fine and had poor flowability, and the discharge from the hopper was through a butterfly valve, which contributed to bridging issues. The discharge diameter was relatively small, making it crucial to address this area first. Therefore, two Brodie disk minis were installed in this vicinity. Additionally, two Brodie disks were installed above, resolving the problem. However, later on, the processed materials varied greatly, and some of them had a low specific gravity and were prone to scattering. To suppress dust dispersion, a controller with four solenoid valves was introduced. We received contact from a customer who has experience using our Broa Disk. They experienced a bridge in the hopper for fine flour, so they installed two of their available Mini Broa Disks. While there was some effect, it did not completely resolve the issue, and they inquired about the possibility of adding a few more units. They requested a loan of the additional units. It was noted that two units were already installed near the discharge area (which is an ideal position), and based on the situation during testing, we determined that it would be best to install four units directly above the existing ones and sent the necessary quantity.
