We will introduce how to utilize easily collected markerless data, leveraging ergonomics, for evaluating and designing various products.
**Why Measure Human Posture and Movement?**
The ease or difficulty with which a person handles objects is unconsciously reflected in their posture and movements. Furthermore, the condition of a person's body is also manifested in their posture and movements. Therefore, measuring a person's posture and movements is crucial for understanding the quality of objects and the state of the body.
**What is Measured Without Markers?**
**Walking Posture**
- **Measurement Items**
Walking speed, stride length, body tilt (forward/backward, side to side), head height, arm swing angle, shoulder and hip rotation, hip joint tilt (forward/backward, side to side), knee angle, foot extension/flexion, etc.
- **Utilization of Data**
By collecting data on the above measurement items, one can evaluate the quality of the targeted products and the effectiveness of services (such as rehabilitation or fitness instruction).
**Usage Movements (How to Use)**
- **Measurement Items**
Body tilt (forward/backward, side to side), movements of the arms and legs, shoulder and hip rotation, etc.
- **Utilization of Data**
By collecting data on the above measurement items, one can evaluate the quality of the targeted products and the effectiveness of services (such as sports instruction).
