The testing methods for determining these parameters differ, making them labor-intensive and requiring a certain level of expertise. This application note demonstrates that using the XDS RapidLiquid Analyzer to obtain spectral information in the visible-near infrared (Vis-NIR) spectral range for determining key parameters in light oil allows for rapid analysis of multiple components in a single measurement, making it a cost-effective analytical method. With Vis-NIR spectroscopy, it is possible to analyze diesel within one minute without sample pretreatment or the use of chemical reagents.
