■Development of Molybdenum-Ruthenium Filler Metal This filler metal is used for joining (brazing) high melting point metals due to its high melting point, but it is not commercially available, so it was necessary to procure the materials independently. Using the developed filler metal, we attempted brazing between tungsten pieces. *The left side of the photo shows porous tungsten.* Photo 1: Observed by a CCD camera. This is a failed example where a large gap occurred at the joint. In reality, it was quite difficult to achieve a good result. Photo 2: Successful example! (The joint is in the center of the photo.)
