Cost reduction case study for transportation, packaging, and logistics: Returnable box for upper boxes.
A design that can be used for both left and right! Here is an example of an improvement proposal for a delivery box for upper boxes.
Here is a proposal for improvements to the reusable box for upper boxes. Upper boxes are packaging materials used to wrap products, and the shapes of the products are complex. Additionally, there are concerns when packaging the workpieces, as they have a surface layer and cannot be laid down during packaging. There is also a part of the surface layer on the bottom, which raises the issue of how to secure the contents inside the reusable box. Therefore, this time, we have designed a specification that secures the workpieces inside the box by using a hard material. Since the products have a left and right orientation, they are generally designated as L for left and R for right, but this time we have created a specification that can be used interchangeably for both sides. [Case Study] ■ Issues - The surface layer prevents the workpieces from being laid down during packaging. - There is a part of the surface layer on the bottom, raising the question of how to secure it inside the reusable box. ■ Improvements - By using a hard material, the workpieces are secured inside the box. - A specification that can be used interchangeably for both sides. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
