Surface treatment technology "thermal spraying"

Introducing surface treatment technology that imparts wear resistance and corrosion resistance, aimed at extending the lifespan of products and equipment.

"Thermal spraying" is a technology that forms a coating by heating coating materials such as ceramics, metals, and cermets, and then colliding them with the substrate surface at high speed in a molten or semi-molten particulate state. The material flattens upon impact with the substrate and rapidly solidifies and deposits to form the coating. By selecting the material, it is possible to create coatings for various applications such as "rust prevention," "corrosion resistance," "wear resistance," "heat resistance," and "impact resistance." [Features] ■ Capable of forming coatings for various applications ■ The increase in substrate temperature can be minimized *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Surface treatment technology "Silicone release surface treatment"

Hot melt adhesive does not stick. The effect lasts even with cleaning using solvents. It is a silicone-based release surface treatment that is different from silicone release agents.

Silicone has a high release effect and is also used as a release agent. While release agents are highly effective, they also have challenges such as durability, cleaning, and spraying efforts. Yoshida SKT's "MRS (Mold Release Silicone)" is a silicone coating that innovates with the effect of a release agent through a different surface treatment. 【Series Features】 ■MRS-102 Maintains effectiveness even after cleaning with solvents. ■MRS-014 Preserves shapes like thinness similar to blades and wrinkling. ■MRS-004 Offers heat resistance exceeding 200°C, comparable to fluororesins (still releases after 16 hours at 350°C). ■MRS-200 Can be heated to resin and rubber products at temperatures below 80°C. ■MRS-003 Ideal for non-stick coatings on blades with a thin film. Also improves slip properties. *Features vary by product type. For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Surface treatment technology: "Non-stick and release properties created by unique convex surface treatment."

Our unique surface treatment technology enables the prevention of sticking for particularly sticky materials such as molten plastic, labels, adhesive tape, and raw rubber!

We have prepared a series that exhibits excellent non-stick and release properties, particularly against sticky materials such as adhesives, molten resins, and adhesive tapes. ■ Series Composition - Super TP/TP Series (all fluoropolymer) - Super CTT Series (surface treatment + siloxane) - Super Alloy Coating ■ Super TP/TP Series The entire surface treatment is composed of fluoropolymer, making it usable in silicone-free environments. Additionally, there is no siloxane contamination. ■ Super CTT Series Thanks to a special convex surface treatment and silicone rubber, it demonstrates outstanding non-stick properties. When using, consideration must be given to the potential transfer of silicone to the counterpart material. ■ Super Alloy Coating This release coating allows for surface adjustment using a special alloy that balances flexibility and high hardness. There are both fluorine-based and silicone-based series, and surface treatment with HV600 can be applied to resins and sponge rubber as well. *For more details, please click on "PDF Download" or feel free to contact us.

Surface treatment technology: "Surface treatment to improve the slip wear resistance of stainless steel."

[Presentation of Materials] A surface treatment that improves the slip properties of stainless steel and excels in wear resistance. We will introduce examples of surface treatments that achieve both slip properties and wear resistance.

Stainless steel is used in situations where products are packaged or transported. We introduce surface treatments that lead to solutions for challenges that could not be resolved by polishing the surface or embossing. ■Problems Occurring in Packaging Machines and Production Lines In packaging lines for food and pharmaceuticals, products are transported using stainless steel guides. Even if stainless steel is polished with a buff or embossed to facilitate product flow, there can be occurrences of line jams. ■Key Points for Problem Solving When using polishing materials for transport guides, if the surface becomes even slightly less slippery during high-speed and high-volume transport, products can jam, causing the equipment to stop. The slippery "fluororesin coating" allows products to flow at high speeds, but there are concerns about foreign matter contamination due to wear particles from the coating. In such cases, by adopting 'Bicoat,' which combines the hard coating of HV700-900 with the lubricating properties of fluororesin, we can achieve both wear resistance and slip properties, thus solving the issues of smooth product transport and surface treatment wear. *For product information on 'Bicoat(R),' please click on "PDF Download" or feel free to contact us.

Surface treatment technology: "What is the low friction property of fluororesin PTFE?"

Why does fluoropolymer have a low coefficient of friction? We will introduce the low friction properties of fluoropolymer PTFE.

■What is Friction Friction occurs when two objects come into contact and move against each other, generating resistance on their surfaces. The force that arises during this process, which acts as a hindrance, is called frictional force. There are two types of friction: static friction and kinetic friction. The resistance force that acts until the objects start moving is called static friction, while the resistance force that acts after they start moving is called kinetic friction. ■Characteristics of PTFE Fluoropolymer PTFE has an exceptionally low resistance due to friction compared to other resins. The static friction coefficient of PTFE is about 0.04, allowing it to move two objects in contact with a small force. ■Low Friction Properties of Fluoropolymer (PTFE) Fluoropolymer (PTFE) has a low friction coefficient and is also used as a solid lubricant. PTFE has a structure where fluorine atoms tightly surround carbon atoms. The free energy of the fluorine atoms on the molecular surface is low, and the molecules exhibit extremely low polarity in their structural characteristics. This molecular structure is believed to influence the low friction coefficient of PTFE. ■Reasons for the Low Friction Coefficient of Fluoropolymer PTFE → Please check the basic information section for more details.

Surface treatment technology: "Functional surface treatment with excellent wear resistance."

We will introduce a surface treatment that excels in "wear resistance," suitable for countermeasures against "rough wear" and "thrust wear" among various types of wear.

Wear refers to the process in which one or both of two objects in contact and moving against each other become abraded. There are two main types of wear that can occur in manufacturing environments. One is "rough wear," which occurs when surfaces are abraded and eroded due to contact with rough surfaces or particulate matter. The other is "thrust wear," which happens when surfaces adhere due to frictional heat and are worn away by the opposing material. The appropriate surface treatment varies depending on the type of wear. [Selected Surface Treatments] ■ Wear Resistance (Rough Wear) - Urethane Coating ■ Wear Resistance (Thrust Wear) - Bi-Coat *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
