We would like to introduce a case where we felt the limitations of managing our parts list with Excel and decided to implement "PLMconsole." Initially, we considered general packaged products, but we gave up due to the complexity of our internal rules. As a result of rebuilding a new parts list system with this product, we were able to share information without additional license burdens both internally and at global locations. While maintaining local rules, we have strengthened the information collaboration aspects. 【Before】 ■ No parts list system; management was done using Excel and printed paper outputs ■ 3D assemblies were managed with a PDM system ■ There was no parts list system that could be used for production preparation ■ No internal part numbers (a mix of customer part numbers, manufacturer model numbers, and internal part numbers) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

We will introduce a case where product specifications and manufacturing specifications were applied for semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, as well as for material and process industries. In this case, the design/development department managed specification documents individually, leading to a lack of information sharing. This resulted in various issues across departments, such as missed cost benefits from centralized purchasing, poor delivery management, and trouble management. With our product, the trial introduction of semi-automated BOM creation (NextBOM) through specification management proved effective, significantly shortening the development period by linking this information with quality management data, instruction documents, and cost information. 【Before】 ■ Customer requirement specification management was done individually ■ Difficult to search or display using specification matrices ■ Quotation information was not linked to customer requirements ■ The process of reviewing product specifications could not be managed by phase ■ Significant man-hours were spent creating quality documents and instruction sheets *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case where the existing PLM and PDM systems were refreshed while partially retaining the existing system, consolidating and selectively applying the necessary functions. This case was based on a plan to replace the PLM with a large-scale PLM package product, but it was abandoned due to the difficulty of partial migration and the very high costs of customization and maintenance. With our product, partial function migration and integration with other systems (mainly through CSV exchanges) could be achieved by utilizing the existing framework as it is. 【Before】 ■ A packaged PDM system was introduced about 15 years ago ■ Customization of functions and soaring maintenance costs were issues ■ Integration with other systems was difficult ■ Poor response times led to complaints from users *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

The measures aim to strengthen traceability to identify causes, minimize damage, maintain social trust, and reduce social harm. By reconstructing PLM with master system measures (adding derived digits to part numbers, enhancing BOM history management) and transaction system measures through MES (strengthening lot traceability), we will ensure the reliable tracking and identification of parts, suppliers, processes, and lots in the event of a defect. This can be utilized primarily in the automotive industry. 【Features】 ■ Addition of derived digits to part numbers (master system) ■ Enhancement of BOM history management (master system) ■ Strengthening of lot traceability (transaction system) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

This service is a solution that allows for immediate action to be taken when there is a discrepancy between product cost targets and aggregated values. By managing the E-BOM from the prototyping stage through PLM, we can assign production item numbers from the early design phase and manage the cost growth process. By continuously monitoring the discrepancies with the targets using the cost information (targets, estimates, actuals) for each item, and by prioritizing the use of highly accurate values to sequentially aggregate and share product costs, it becomes possible to implement organizational measures. 【Features】 ■ Visualization of the cost growth process through E-BOM management from the prototyping stage ■ Continuous monitoring using three item attributes: targets, estimates, and actuals ■ Sequential aggregation and sharing of product costs using highly accurate values as a priority *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

"Concurrent Engineering Using PLM" is a product development method aimed at reducing development lead time and accelerating problem detection through the parallelization of design and production preparation processes. By overlapping design and production preparation, design verification is conducted in the production preparation process before issuing drawings, resolving issues such as manufacturability before the drawings are released. By using PLM, not only 3D models but also the completeness of designs can be managed and shared as an attribute called "status" (such as in progress, public, formal, etc.), and by updating the status with intent, the streamlining of operations related to pre-drawing information can be achieved. [Features] ■ Reduction of development lead time ■ Early detection of problems through the parallelization of design and production preparation processes ■ Management and sharing of design completeness as an attribute called "status" ■ Streamlining of operations related to pre-drawing information *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

The "PLM System" is a system that not only implements design change management but also manufacturing change management, leading to enhanced traceability. By managing changes to BOMs and drawings using ECO (Engineering Change Order), it allows for tracking when, why, and which items were changed, enabling quick identification of the causes of defects and accelerating problem resolution. Furthermore, by managing manufacturing processes and the equipment used in those processes as BOP (Bill Of Process) using MCO (Manufacturing Change Order), it is possible to manage the timing, reasons, and points of change in manufacturing processes that do not appear in design changes. 【Features】 ■ Enhanced traceability through the implementation of design and manufacturing change management ■ Management of BOM and drawing changes and early identification of defect causes through ECO ■ Management of manufacturing processes and equipment as BOP and change point management through MCO *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

"PLM Project Management" is a function that allows for the management of WBS history and the linking of documents such as deliverables. Revisions exist for projects, phases, and tasks, and history management is conducted using these revisions. A PCO (Project Change Order) is linked to modified tasks to manage the reasons for changes, timing of changes, and the approval process. 【Features】 ■ WBS history management function ■ Document linking function for deliverables and more *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Regarding compliance in medical device development, while I will not touch on the details of the standards, I would like to introduce some basic information about CSV and ER/ES that you should know as a person in charge of PLM implementation. CSV defines the documentation of the validity of the system development process and the results of verification, and addresses requirements based on the ER/ES guidelines. We will support the establishment of the management and operational framework necessary for the application of the PLM system. 【Requirements for PLM System Application】 ■ Access rights management ■ Acquisition of operation logs ■ Robust backup ■ User and password management ■ Update records ■ Training and education *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce "Checkpoint 1 for PLM Implementation." PLM, BOM, and PDM create significant effects by sharing information across vertical organizations. Since advancing company-wide implementation while resolving stakeholders between departments requires a lot of time and budget, if pursuing overall optimization does not allow for solving nearby issues, it is correct to implement on a smaller scale. By wisely separating and considering information and systems, the implementation becomes simpler. 【Related Services】 ■ PLM Quick Assessment ■ PLM Concept Planning Service *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

"PLM" is a system that allows for easy integration with other systems by extracting only the necessary information and can be built simply. In constructing PLM, it is important to separate "structure and information." The database that forms the core of PLM/PDM products, which perform complex processes such as the configuration of BOM (Bill of Materials), typically uses Oracle or Microsoft SQL. Information can be linked and managed using unique IDs such as IDs or Keys, without storing duplicate information in each system. [Features] ■ Extracts only the necessary information to facilitate integration with other systems ■ Links and manages information using unique IDs without storing duplicates ■ Can be built simply *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
