This technology achieves excellent wear resistance through a long-lasting coating that adheres spherical ceramics to the material using plating and applies a Teflon treatment. Spherical ceramics are adhered to the material (iron or stainless steel) through plating, and a Teflon treatment is applied on top. As it wears down, the high-hardness ceramics emerge from the Teflon, providing wear resistance. The "non-slip surface treatment" is a technology that fixes particles of materials (such as ceramics and abrasives) onto a surface through plating, causing those materials to protrude from the surface. It allows for the selection of frictional force and the control of aggressiveness against the counterpart. Grip strength can be achieved with a weaker force. The composite plating technology of Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) enhances friction resistance by electrostatically depositing large spherical ceramics, resulting in a surface treatment that possesses water repellency and electrical conductivity. Since the ceramics are spherical, they cause minimal damage to the contacting counterpart and generate little static electricity, which reduces contamination adhesion.
