When performing machining of parts, the work specification document outlines the type of processing and the procedures for each machine, as well as the determination of standard processing man-hours for each machine. In cases where dimensional tolerances are strict, the process design specified three steps: lathe processing, polishing processing, and milling processing. However, by changing perspectives and thinking differently, if materials that meet the dimensional tolerances can be procured, it can be reduced to just two steps: lathe processing and milling processing, thereby reducing the costs incurred in the polishing process.
