Recrystallized SiC (Re-SiC) is a high-performance ceramic material with excellent mechanical strength, high thermal conductivity, and good heat resistance. It is resistant to thermal shock and can be used at higher temperatures (over 1600°C) than other SiC refractories. While it possesses thermal characteristics similar to metals, it also excels as a refractory product. Silicon infiltration reaction-sintered SiC is a composite ceramic made by infiltrating molten silicon (Si) into a porous body of silicon carbide (SiC). Formally known as reaction-bonded silicon carbide (RB-SiC), it possesses characteristics such as high hardness, high wear resistance, and high thermal conductivity. The "AW-8" is a lightweight cordierite crucible characterized by a specific gravity of 1.52. It possesses the low thermal expansion property of cordierite (thermal expansion rate RT→1000℃ 0.18%), and the safe operating temperature is 1100℃.
