"Chemical strengthened glass" is glass that has been immersed in molten salt and undergoes ion exchange to form a layer of compressive stress on its surface. There are two methods for strengthening glass: air cooling and chemical strengthening. The strengthening of glass improves its properties, which are weak in tension, by generating compressive stress on the glass surface. As a result, the strength can be increased to more than five times that of ordinary glass.
