The current chairman (founder) has been involved with gears and started this work nearly 50 years ago. At that time, Japan was on the verge of beginning its period of rapid economic growth. The Tōkaidō Shinkansen and the Tokyo Monorail were inaugurated, and not just gears, but all domestic industries began to experience upward growth. From that day until today, the current chairman has consistently focused on the manufacturing of gears. Over these 50 years, the times have changed significantly. The technology for gear manufacturing and the machinery used for production have continued to evolve. The things around us will continue to change rapidly. However, we at Shinkō Gears will carry on the current chairman's vision and enhance corporate value through gears, regardless of the era.
