As condensed in the "Measures for the Revitalization and Development of the Construction Industry 2011," "public works that protect lives" have become a focal point as part of emergency economic measures, with numerous urgent themes piled up, including aging infrastructure measures, earthquake recovery and disaster prevention measures, safety measures for the elderly and children, and the creation of a cycling environment. Moreover, the Olympics, as a festival of sports, is based on the principles of friendship, solidarity, and fair play, and it not only aims to create an environment where athletes and their associates can perform under the best conditions but also serves as an excellent opportunity for people to learn about Japanese culture as a tourism-oriented nation. Therefore, we intend to add a new perspective of global standards to the slogan of the 9th Basic Five-Year Plan for Traffic Safety, "Realizing the World's Safest Railway and Road Traffic," while responding to significant changes through new product development and new market expansion (related diversification), and reforming our business structure.
