Here is an introduction to a case where transparent pine cones and snakes were created using polycarbonate (PC). The pine cone was 3D modeled with randomness, and machined from a block of sheet material. Due to the many undercut areas in the model, it was divided into seven parts, machined, glued together, and finally finished with a transparency treatment. For the snake, since dividing it would make the lines stand out, it was created using a single machining process to express the snake's expression, dynamism, and three-dimensionality, enhancing its presence. Because it was difficult to beautifully express the spiral shape, multiple jigs were made for multi-surface machining. It was then finished with a transparency treatment. We would like to introduce a case where we performed cutting processing of ABS-N (Natural) to create a display model. The STL file was converted into a solid model, and then CAM data was created to carve it out from a sheet material. In this model, which includes many undercuts such as equipment parts, it was divided into eight parts, and the split sections were designed with an inlay shape to ensure strength during production.
