At Genpei Blade Factory Co., Ltd., we have been engaged in the manufacturing of cutting tools since before the war, starting with razor production in our early days, developing the Genpei labor-saving sickle, and now primarily manufacturing various machine blades such as hedge trimmers for lawnmower manufacturers, as well as blades for power tools. We aim to create safer and more reliable products by leveraging the technology and development capabilities we have cultivated. At Genpei Blade Factory, we have changed our product lineup in accordance with the flow from razors to sickles to clipper blades (hedge trimmers). Among these, our heat treatment technology for special steels, including carbon tool steel (SK steel) and alloy tool steel (SKS steel), possesses a unique heat treatment technique that combines the traditional quenching technology passed down since the production of hand-forged sickles with modern heat treatment methods, which is not found elsewhere. Additionally, we strive to clarify the cutting mechanisms of blades on a daily basis, aiming to manufacture blades that exhibit better cutting performance with structures and functions suited to their intended use. Towards that goal, we earnestly hope to participate from the product development stage to propose more ideal blade structures.
