"Vegisort" is a compact and high-precision camera-based sorting machine. The customized Vegisort for yuzu captures images of yuzu using five cameras to count the number of black spots caused by black spot disease. On September 12th (Thursday), Professor Takeshi Shinoda from the Faculty of Marine Systems Engineering at Kyushu University visited our company. He expressed interest in the case study of the 'Identification Tag System' developed by our company and we had a discussion about it.

The Wide Area Local Government AI Utilization Promotion Council, which discusses and examines solutions utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), was established on April 12, 2019. Four cities and three towns in Kagawa Prefecture (Kataoka Kotohira Town, Kurita Mannou Town, Maruo Tadotsu Town, Mitoyo City, Shirakawa Kanonji, Kaji Marugame City, and Hiraoka Zentsuji City) have collaborated to launch "MAiSM," which promotes the use of AI and is actively engaged in related activities. Professor Yutaka Matsuo, a professor at the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo and the organizer of this initiative, visited our company on August 23. On that day, we discussed the utilization of big data and AI. In the future, we will continue to advance development to incorporate AI into sorting machines and during the harvest season.
