We received an inquiry from a customer who manufactures in-house unit jigs for automotive parts, expressing their desire to outsource the jigs but facing difficulties due to the high complexity of the jigs, which hindered the outsourcing process. We would like to introduce a case where we proposed measures to address wear on transport pallets due to material changes and assembly. We received an inquiry from an automotive parts manufacturer regarding wear on the bottom of pallets in their production line, which resulted in wear debris adhering to the workpiece tips. In response, we proposed several types of materials that matched the customer's requirements and created comparison materials for each type. The wear area was addressed by changing the material, eliminating foreign matter adhesion. We would like to introduce a case where we designed and improved the oil supply port for processing equipment at our company. We received a consultation regarding a production line at a customer's facility where the oil supply port was located in a recessed area between equipment, leading to a constant need for awkward working positions, resulting in very poor work efficiency. In response, we proposed extending the oil supply port using products from Koshou Design, which resulted in a 50% reduction in work time. Our company also handles precision machining using diamond compact (PCD) that combines high hardness, wear resistance, low friction coefficient, and impact resistance. Typically, jigs used in production equipment are made from materials like cemented carbide to achieve long service life, but with diamond compact (PCD) machining, the base material can be made from relatively inexpensive materials like SUS, and by bonding diamond to the parts where the workpiece is installed, we achieve both long service life and low cost. To manufacture products tailored to customer requirements, we select types and sintered body sizes from the design stage and bond them with other metals. Depending on the product's application and conditions, we use either "brazing" or "adhesion" without applying heat for bonding. We will create the drawings after the diamond is attached.
