Overseas procurement of prototypes

Wouldn't you like to take advantage of overseas procurement even for trial production quantities?

Mass production is sourced overseas, but prototypes are processed domestically due to high shipping costs. There are likely many customers like this. With WTM, you can benefit from overseas sourcing even in small quantities. We significantly reduce the shipping cost per item by consolidating products for transport from our office in China to Japan. Additionally, we ensure Japanese quality in overseas sourcing by conducting JIS standard inspections in both China and Yokohama. Many of our customers use our services similarly to a prototype manufacturer. Please feel free to consult with us.

[Proposed Solution Case] Consultation on Design and Manufacturing from Actual Items

We can provide a consistent response from disassembling the product, investigating and analyzing materials and heat treatment hardness, to design, manufacturing, and inspection of the finished product!

We would like to introduce a case where our company responded to a customer's concerns with full effort. The customer in this case wanted to request special tools for car repairs (set items), but since they did not have any drawings, they were looking for a company that could handle everything from design to manufacturing and inspection based on the actual item. We explained that we could provide a consistent response by disassembling the actual item, analyzing the materials and heat treatment hardness, designing, manufacturing, and inspecting the finished product. After assembling with standard parts and conducting inspections, we delivered the finished product, earning the customer's trust and high praise. [Case Overview] ■ Concern - Looking for a company that can handle everything from design to manufacturing and inspection based on the actual item. ■ Proposal - Explained that we could provide a consistent response. - Based on the investigation results, additional parts were manufactured. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Proposed Solution Case] Overseas procured products broke immediately.

A case where we proposed conducting hardness and material analysis, as well as product inspection, at WTM headquarters!

We would like to introduce a case where our company responded to a customer's concerns with full effort. In this case, the customer had a product requiring hardness manufactured through overseas procurement from another company, including heat treatment. However, when used in a non-load environment, it broke immediately, prompting them to seek a provider for hardness and material analysis, as well as dimensional measurement. We conducted inspections using a hardness tester (HM-6561JP), a material analyzer (X-MET8000), and other inspection equipment, which yielded results different from those provided by the manufacturer. Subsequently, we received a production request from the customer and successfully delivered the product. [Case Overview] ■ Concerns - The overseas procured (from another company) product broke immediately in a non-load environment. - Even after inquiring with the processing manufacturer, they insisted that "there is no problem," leaving the issue unresolved. ■ Proposal - Conducted hardness and material analysis, as well as product inspection at WTM headquarters. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Proposed Solution Case] Difficulty in procuring cast molds due to the bankruptcy of the mold manufacturer.

By consolidating product procurement with WTM, we have reduced the management burden on our customers and achieved cost savings!

We would like to introduce a case where our company responded to a customer's concerns with full effort. The customer consulted us after their long-time foundry went bankrupt, and they received a quote for a new casting mold that was excessively high. In response, we proposed that for around 30 pieces, machining would be a sufficient solution, which also offers advantages in dimensional accuracy. Additionally, to bring the price closer to that of the previous casting mold, we included suggestions such as changing materials and relaxing drawing tolerances. [Case Overview] ■Concern - The long-time foundry went bankrupt - Unable to produce just 30 pieces with a casting mold under the same conditions ■Proposal - Change material from A5052 to A6061 - Relax unnecessary strict tolerances on the product drawings and simplify processing in certain areas *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Proposed Solution Case] Reducing Transportation Costs While Maintaining Japanese Quality

A case where we achieved a reduction in delivery time and were able to lower material procurement costs by several percent!

We would like to introduce a case where our company responded to a customer's concerns with full effort. In this case, the materials for the processed parts were not available in China, so we were planning to supply Japanese materials. However, considering the transportation time and the weight of the materials (over 100kg), this was not practical. Therefore, we proposed an alternative material that could be sourced locally (Chinese GB standard: 30CrNi3). We achieved a reduction in delivery time, transportation, and raw material costs, with procurement costs decreasing by several percent. 【Case Overview】 ■Concern - Supplying Japanese materials is not practical considering transportation time and material weight. ■Proposal - We proposed an alternative material that could be sourced locally. - We reported that there had been past usage of the same alternative material with no complaints. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
