The "Dow Pelletizer" employs a dual-axis rotor pin, enabling uniform granulation and moist mixing through high-speed rotation. It is equipped with a self-cleaning mechanism, allowing for stable operation. Additionally, it features a completely sealed design from the hopper discharge to the outlet, preventing dust dispersion. We would like to introduce a case study of our pelletizing machine, the "Dow Pelletizer." In the process of recycling iron-based dust generated within a steel mill, we introduced the "Dow Pelletizer" to pelletize dust containing a high amount of zinc to prevent scattering and to facilitate handling at the destination zinc smelter. This product enables stable intermittent operation even with highly adhesive powders due to its two-shaft uneven-speed self-cleaning mechanism. Additionally, the interior is enclosed in a sealed casing, so there is no concern about dust generation in the workplace. The Shin-Nichinan "Mixing and Granulating Machine" has been developed based on the know-how of the "Dough Mixer," which has over 2,500 units in operation. The mixing machine "Dough Mixer PX Type" features a diverse paddle configuration (multiple patents obtained) with a spiral arrangement of single/double rows on two shafts (unequal speed two shafts) with different rotational speeds. This design ensures a self-cleaning effect that consistently works, allowing for efficient mixing and compaction effects even with highly adhesive materials. Additionally, this mechanism overcomes the shaft breakage caused by repeated stress, which is unavoidable in equal-speed two-shaft systems.
