The three-layer structure of carbide and steel makes it easier to integrate thin cutter blades into machinery. The carbide part uses our developed high hardness and high toughness nano-binder carbide, achieving a sharp edge. The steel part is made from SUS420J2, which provides sufficient corrosion resistance and high strength, heat-treated to HRC48. It can be finished to a thickness of 0.2t, reducing the risk of breakage and chipping. Please consult us regarding the shape of the cutting tool.

By solid solution diffusion of WC (carbide) into the substrate, we have developed a surface modification that enables scientific bonding at the interface. The thickness of the treated layer of the carbide part can be controlled from 10 to 400 μm depending on the purpose, which is thicker than conventional PVD and CVD treated layers, and is almost equivalent to carburizing and nitriding treated layers.
