Until now, there have been no dyes suitable for dyeing fibers made from biodegradable resin (PLA). It has been particularly difficult to achieve deep colors in dyed products and to enhance various dye fastness levels, making it very challenging to finish fibers for practical use. Additionally, due to the low heat resistance of the fibers themselves, high-temperature dyeing is not suitable, and the dyes that can be used are limited. However, through repeated prototypes, we have been able to develop dyes for polylactic acid (PLA) fibers (biodegradable, biomass) by selecting and blending the optimal dyes, including considerations for fastness. With our unique formulation, we deliver comfortable dyeing for PLA fibers.

At Maeda Kasei Co., Ltd., we handle "PLA (polylactic acid resin)." This product is a renewable biodegradable resin made from plant materials. TotalEnergies Corbion's products are available in the grades shown in the attached document, and we can handle all grades. We also accommodate small bags (25kg) and offer sales for small quantity testing.
