The "VC-1 series" is a light acid generator that achieves both high photodecomposition rates and transparency in the visible light range by introducing a photosensitive area optimized for the cationic component. It has a significant absorption for the i-line (wavelength 365nm), which is the main emission line of high-pressure mercury lamps, while exhibiting low absorption in the visible light range (above 380nm), resulting in excellent transparency. In evaluations of light-curable properties using epoxy resin, it shows curing performance equivalent to the CPI-400 series, indicating a high acid generation rate.
