We would like to introduce the "Features of Shaving Processing" by Yokoyama Seiko Co., Ltd. The typical cross-section consists of a sheared surface and a fractured surface, but shaving processing results in a cross-section that consists only of the sheared surface. Additionally, for a plate thickness of 1mm, the knockout radius is usually 0.2 to 0.3R, whereas in this processing, it is 0.03 to 0.05R. High precision mold finishing is required. The spot welding of spring steel (hardened material) typically involves a spot welding process followed by a tempering process. We would like to introduce the features of "dissimilar material welding (stainless steel × free-cutting steel)" by Yokoyama Seiko Co., Ltd. The sample product involved spot welding a nut to stainless steel; however, due to the nut material containing lead and the small size of the spot weld, the stability of the welding was poor, resulting in approximately 40% defects. Typically, the bending die structure that uses a core is designed to insert the core from the lateral direction using a cam. However, since the sample product involves 2D composite bending, the core structure from the lateral direction cannot be applied, and the usual processing is considered to be a combination of progressive and single-step processes.
