Daiko's "Insulated Bolt (Sleeve + Washer Type)" The "Insulated Bolt (Sleeve + Washer Type)" is a product that prevents electrical corrosion by electrically insulating the space between flanges and between flanges and bolts/nuts. Using glass-filled epoxy resin board and high-temperature mica laminated board as washers, and employing a PTFE sleeve for bolt protection, it offers high insulation resistance and excellent mechanical strength. The Daiko Teflon Cushion Gasket 'D7000' features a Teflon outer layer and uses a joint sheet and heat-resistant milboard as the core material, providing excellent elasticity and flexibility. Thanks to the stable corrosion resistance of Teflon (fluororesin), it can be used with a wide range of corrosive fluids such as acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. The main reason for flange galvanic corrosion is that when different metals come into contact and an electrolyte (such as water or moisture) is present, a battery circuit is formed due to the potential difference, causing the metal with the lower potential to corrode. In particular, galvanic corrosion is likely to occur with combinations of metals that have a large potential difference, such as iron and stainless steel, or iron and aluminum.
