This is Nichia Corporation, a manufacturer of light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

We manufacture distinctive LEDs for various fields and applications by combining domestically produced in-house chips with diverse phosphors. Our company has developed and expanded its business centered on the development, manufacturing, and sales of precision chemicals, particularly phosphors (inorganic fluorescent materials), under the management policy of "Ever Researching for a Brighter World." In our pursuit of luminescent materials, we commercialized the blue LED that astonished the world in 1993, white LEDs that combine phosphors and LEDs, and further developed blue-violet semiconductor lasers and optical semiconductors. The invention of these nitride semiconductors has brought about technological innovations in light sources across display, lighting, automotive, industrial equipment, and medical measurement fields.
