What is electrical discharge machining?

It is possible to drill holes, carve grooves, and cut precise shapes even in hard metals.

"Electrical discharge machining" is a processing method that creates holes, adds contours to metals, or cuts them using the energy of sparks generated by electricity. By repeatedly generating fine discharges in the gap between a metal called an "electrode" and the workpiece, the workpiece is processed while being melted.
