On January 7th (Thursday), a state of emergency was declared. The areas affected in the Kanto region are Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, and Kanagawa, covering one metropolis and three prefectures, with a duration of one month. Currently, the center of infection is in these four areas, and since the year-end and New Year holidays, the number of infected individuals has remained extremely high, exceeding 2,000 daily in Tokyo. Regarding universities, we are requesting an effective combination of in-person and online classes. When the state of emergency was declared in March 2020, more than 50% of companies halted their recruitment activities. As a result, recruitment efforts became prolonged, and many companies may have incorporated a "wait-and-see" strategy, leading to the loss of talented candidates.
