[Seminar] What does online medical care bring to community healthcare?

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare "Study Group on the Review of Guidelines for the Appropriate Implementation of Online Medical Care" Haruo Kuroki, Member, Special Appointment

Our company will hold a seminar titled "What does online medical care bring to regional healthcare?" Online medical care is finally being recognized as an independent form of treatment. However, are we fully utilizing its advantages in the current situation? Conducting medical consultations online is not merely about using convenient video calls, nor is it simply a supplementary alternative to outpatient care. The challenge for the healthcare providers (supply side) is to determine what kind of medical services can be offered through this new technology and whether it can provide a different quality of care than before. On the other hand, the demand side faces the new challenge of how to utilize this service. It is necessary to consider whether it can ensure high-quality medical care, from both the supply and demand perspectives. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: June 5 (Wednesday) 10:00 - 12:00 (Doors open at 9:30) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Speaker: Member of the Study Group on the Review of Guidelines for the Appropriate Implementation of Online Medical Care Director, Paul Room, Children's and Adults' Clinic, Medical Corporation Shigyō no Kai Dr. Haruo Kuroki *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Seminar] The Bible of the System Side Battery Storage Business ver2

Standalone or renewable energy co-location? A thorough explanation of the future of the battery storage business.

Since the Electric Utility Industry Act was amended and system batteries were positioned as power generation businesses, there has been a lively movement in the business of installing and operating batteries on the system side. [Seminar] Offshore Wind Power Generation in Ishikari City, Hokkaido, Aiming to Become a "Profitable Municipality"

<Tokyo Event> Mayor Ryuki Kato Special Invitation "Efforts for Decarbonization in Local Production for Local Consumption Urban Development"

We will hold a seminar titled "Offshore Wind Power Generation in Ishikari City, Hokkaido, Aiming to Become a 'Profitable Municipality.'" Ishikari City is striving to become a "profitable municipality." For local governments facing population decline, securing independent income is essential for protecting citizens' lives, including social infrastructure, education, healthcare, and welfare. Ishikari City has garnered national attention in the context of decarbonization, but we view decarbonization not as an end goal, but as a means to achieve our objectives. A central initiative in this effort is the "RE Zone" concept, which aims to supply 100% local renewable energy to the 100 hectares of the industrial park "Ishikari Bay New Port Area." We aim to create an industrial space that provides global added value through decarbonization and fosters corporate aggregation. By utilizing local renewable energy, such as offshore wind power, we promote industrial development through "local production for local consumption," bringing vitality and capital to the city. This is Ishikari City's approach to decarbonization. [Seminar] The Actual Situation of PFAS in Drinking Water and Technological Development for Its Countermeasures

Reduction measures for PFOS and PFOA designated in water quality standards/water quality management target setting items.

Our company will hold a seminar on "The Current Situation of PFAS in Drinking Water and Technological Development for Countermeasures." PFAS currently includes over 10,000 types, with some reports suggesting there may be over 7 million types, and they are used in a wide range of applications. On the other hand, some PFAS substances raise health concerns, leading to discussions about regulations both domestically and internationally, and these trends are being closely monitored. In Japan, PFOS and PFOA among PFAS have been designated as items for setting water quality management goals in drinking water quality standards, and provisional target values have been established. However, there have been cases where these target values have been exceeded in drinking water. Therefore, in addition to understanding the presence of PFAS in drinking water, investigating sources of discharge at drinking water sources and considering reduction measures are also important. This seminar will provide detailed explanations on the actual presence of PFAS in drinking water and PFAS treatment technologies. [Seminar] Basics of Carbon Credit Trading and Legal Risks

Due to the high praise for the deepened understanding and organization of the legal nature and the chaotic systems, a repeat event has been decided.

Our company will hold a seminar titled "From the Basics of Carbon Credit Transactions to Legal Risks and Considerations in Transaction Contracts." For each company, carbon credits, which involve the buying and selling of quantified greenhouse gas emission reductions and absorption amounts, are an option to consider in their efforts to achieve "carbon neutrality." Additionally, the carbon credit trading market will be established on the Tokyo Stock Exchange starting in October 2023, and private markets are also being developed, indicating progress in domestic system development. However, there are no unified standards for carbon credits, and their legal nature is ambiguous, which entails risks in their transactions. Therefore, this seminar will provide a detailed explanation of the fundamental knowledge regarding carbon credit transactions, as well as the legal risks and considerations in transaction contracts. [Seminar] Aiming for Integrated Efficiency and Infrastructure Strengthening in Water Supply and Sewerage Projects

Liberal Democratic Party Waterworks Business Promotion Parliamentary Federation Shunsuke Mutai Secretary General Special Invitation

Our company will hold a seminar on "The Aims of the Integrated Efficiency and Infrastructure Strengthening Project for Water Supply and Sewerage." Starting from the fiscal year 2024, water supply administration will be transferred from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, allowing for unified management of water supply and sewerage administration. The effects of this integration are significant. In response to the Noto Peninsula earthquake, the integrated recovery of water supply and sewerage has also demonstrated these benefits. While Japan boasts a world-class standard in water supply administration, challenges such as aging infrastructure and seismic resilience have emerged after a century of water supply. The approach to water supply development in depopulated areas is also a concern. There are new challenges such as public-private partnerships, decarbonization, energy conservation and renewable energy, the realization of a circular economy, and the development of small-scale decentralized water treatment systems. There are also policies for the international expansion of water supply technology. By injecting new technologies into the water supply sector, we draw attention to the field related to "water," which is most crucial for human survival! 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: April 17 (Wednesday) 9:30 - 11:30 (Doors open at 9:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Participation Methods: In-person, live streaming, archived streaming ■ Speaker: Shunsuke Mutai, Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party's "Water Supply Business Promotion Parliamentary Federation," Chair of the House of Representatives Environment Committee, Member of the House of Representatives *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
