Free membership registrationOur company will hold a seminar titled "Progress and Future Developments of Urban Development around Sapporo Station." The extension of the Hokkaido Shinkansen to Sapporo is scheduled for the end of fiscal year 2030. This extension will significantly shorten travel time between Honshu and Hokkaido, leading to expected economic and social benefits in Hokkaido. Free membership registrationOur company will hold a seminar titled "The Changing Architectural Design Process through Generative AI and XR." According to a research report by Goldman Sachs, "Architectural Design and Engineering" is listed as the third industry most significantly impacted by rapidly evolving AI. Meanwhile, XR technology, which allows for the construction and experience of cities and buildings in a digital space before completion, has seen a reduction in the barriers to adoption and utilization due to the digitalization of the architectural design process and the emergence of low-cost, high-performance XR devices. In this way, the generative AI and XR technologies that have recently garnered attention, combined with BIM, which is being promoted jointly by the public and private sectors, hold the potential to bring about significant transformations in the very nature of architectural design. Here, we will elaborate on our company's initiatives regarding generative AI and XR technology in architectural design, detailing current use cases, challenges, and future prospects. Free membership registrationWe will hold a seminar titled "Offshore Wind Power Generation in Ishikari City, Hokkaido, Aiming to Become a 'Profitable Municipality.'" Ishikari City is striving to become a "profitable municipality." For local governments facing population decline, securing independent income is essential for protecting citizens' lives, including social infrastructure, education, healthcare, and welfare. Ishikari City has garnered national attention in the context of decarbonization, but we view decarbonization not as an end goal, but as a means to achieve our objectives. A central initiative in this effort is the "RE Zone" concept, which aims to supply 100% local renewable energy to the 100 hectares of the industrial park "Ishikari Bay New Port Area." We aim to create an industrial space that provides global added value through decarbonization and fosters corporate aggregation. By utilizing local renewable energy, such as offshore wind power, we promote industrial development through "local production for local consumption," bringing vitality and capital to the city. This is Ishikari City's approach to decarbonization. Free membership registrationOur company will hold a seminar on "The System Impact and Countermeasures of Increased Charging Due to the Spread of Electric Vehicles (EVs)." Currently, efforts are being made to promote the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) in order to achieve carbon neutrality (CN) by 2050. However, there are voices expressing concerns that "if EVs become widely adopted, a significant peak load may occur, and the system may not be able to handle it." While there are many estimates of peak loads caused by EV charging, the results can vary greatly depending on the conditions under which the estimates are made. In this presentation, we will clarify the factors that influence the peak and those that do not, highlighting key points to consider when reviewing estimation results. Additionally, if we can identify the main factors affecting the peak, it will also be possible to suppress the peak, so we will provide detailed explanations of peak suppression measures. Free membership registrationOur company will hold a seminar titled "Guidelines for the Use of Wood-Based Biomass as a Renewable Energy Source." Biomass has gained attention since the introduction of the FIT system, but recently, doubts about its carbon neutrality (renewability) have arisen from an LCA perspective, and it is gradually losing its status year by year. On the other hand, as long as steam utilization in thermal power generation and heat utilization does not disappear, biomass, which can achieve carbon recycling with extremely high efficiency, is still considered a valuable option for decarbonization. In this lecture, we will focus on wood-based biomass, introducing the diversity of inputs (types of wood) and outputs (forms of energy), and discuss a power plant simulation using fast-growing biomass as an example of sustainability. Finally, we will address the frequent occurrence of biomass fires as a challenge, detailing what should be prepared on the equipment and business sides. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: May 21 (Tuesday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Speaker: Mr. Takahiro Uchiumi, Director of the Planning Department, JFE Engineering Corporation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The population receiving end-of-life care is expected to peak in 2040 and remain high for several decades thereafter. As a result, an increase in medical and nursing care needs (elderly medical care pandemic) is anticipated, leading to a greater burden on healthcare and nursing care workers. However, there is also a current situation where the acceleration of a serious labor shortage cannot be stopped. Starting from fiscal year 2024, new health care plans and nursing care insurance business plans are accelerating efforts to explore the appropriate provision of public insurance services alongside measures to realize a community-based society. This seminar will provide a detailed explanation of how these social issues are reflected in the 2024 revisions of medical and nursing care fees and how the future provision of medical and nursing care is envisioned.
