At Pearcom, we process lead wires used for component assembly in-house. This time, we would like to introduce a case of a company that was struggling to find a contractor willing to handle a complex request involving a wide variety of parts, each with a small quantity. [Challenge] They were looking for a contractor that could process thick wires, but they were having difficulty finding one that could handle a wide variety of parts with small quantities and complex requests. [Proposal] Since it was difficult to accommodate their needs with existing equipment, we took some time to consider the introduction of new equipment. Although it took time to deliver the initial samples, we were able to find a method for processing without damage and confirmed that we could meet their specifications. [Resolution] To ensure the reliable processing of the requested wires, we needed equipment for thicker materials, so we purchased a cable cutter and a stripping machine for thick wires. Since the wire was difficult to strip, we used a hot knife to burn off the insulation in the stripping area, resulting in a beautiful finish. The stripping was done according to specifications, with no damage, and the wires were sorted by size and properly labeled, making them ready for immediate use upon arrival, which successfully reduced labor costs and pleased the client.

Free membership registrationAt Pearcom, we process the lead wires used for component assembly in-house, performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, stripping, pre-soldering, and crimping. This time, due to the company's policy to review manufacturing costs, the materials procurement officer is introducing a case of a company that was looking for a wire processing vendor. [Challenge] Until then, the wires used for the main products were being cut manually by employees, which was time-consuming. With the company's policy to review manufacturing costs, the materials procurement officer was searching for a wire processing vendor. [Proposal] We received the drawings and provided samples, responding that we could deliver within a week. [Resolution] By requesting wire cutting processing from Pearcom, it was found that there would be an annual cost reduction of 280,000 yen, which made it easier to present to the company's upper management. They were pleased that the order arrived three days after the request, and we continue to receive orders from them. Our company has seven lead wire cutting machines and processes about 50,000 pieces daily, so we can easily accommodate requests for 200 or 400 pieces, which enabled us to handle this situation.

At Paircom, we process lead wires used for component assembly in-house, performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, stripping, pre-soldering, and crimping. In this case, a company was looking for a wire processing vendor because they wanted to assign other tasks to their temporary employees who were manually processing lead wires. **[Challenge]** The temporary employees were manually cutting 20,000 wires and performing a 55mm twisting process at the ends, which was a very demanding task. Additionally, the company wanted the temporary employees to handle other work, so they were searching for a wire processing vendor. **[Proposal]** We conducted wire selection and prototyping, and to demonstrate the actual twisting strength, we submitted three patterns of sample products. **[Solution]** We were able to handle everything from wire selection, and we received positive feedback for repeatedly prototyping until the twisting strength met their requirements. There were no issues with the finish or pricing, leading to formal adoption of our solution. Previously, they faced difficulties when they needed stock but had none available due to manual processing. However, they were satisfied that orders placed with us arrived about two weeks later, and they have continued to place orders since 2019.

At our company, which manufactures the heart of leakage circuit breakers, we operate with the mission that "even a single defect out of millions is unacceptable." This commitment to quality results in an exceptionally low defect rate. We are confident that we can be a wonderful partner for customers who prioritize high quality. This time, we would like to introduce a case where a trading company was looking for a company that could process harnesses but was struggling because they did not even know how to read the harness drawings. 【Challenge】 The trading company was searching for a company that could process harnesses and was looking for a company that could quickly process and deliver them, despite not knowing how to read the harness drawings. 【Proposal】 We interpreted the drawings, created samples, and confirmed that there were no electrical issues. When delivering the harnesses with connectors attached at the ends, we prepared a continuity checker to ensure everything was functioning properly. 【Resolution】 After delivering a total of 65 harnesses, the client was pleased to find that all were good quality and could be used without any issues. From the initial meeting, we interpreted the drawings and delivered the products in about three weeks, which was the shortest lead time. The client was delighted to see such prompt and careful work.

This commitment to quality results in an exceptionally low defect rate. We are confident that we can be a wonderful partner for customers who prioritize high quality. This time, due to the need for a large number of control panels of the same model for a new factory construction, we had been requesting various subcontractors, but we were looking for new subcontractors. 【Challenge】 We needed a large number of control panels of the same model, and although we had requested various subcontractors, we still lacked sufficient subcontractors and were searching for new ones. 【Proposal】 We proposed that we could consistently undertake the assembly of 5 control panels per month as requested by the client. 【Resolution】 Since our company had been subcontracting for parts assembly for a major company, we possessed knowledge of wire processing and soldering skills, which resulted in high-quality deliveries that were greatly appreciated. Although we were initially requested as a new subcontractor, we have continued to receive orders even after five years, and the president has stated that we are the most reliable company with very few defective products.

At our company, which manufactures the heart of leakage circuit breakers, we operate with the mission that "not a single defect is allowed among millions." This commitment to quality is why our defect rate is exceptionally low. We are confident that we can be a wonderful partner for customers who prioritize high quality. This time, we would like to introduce a case of a company that was struggling to find someone to handle the assembly work of electrical products related to home appliances during a peak production planning period. [Challenge] The company was in need of outsourcing the assembly work of electrical products related to home appliances during a concentrated production planning period. [Proposal] Since we had previously worked together and received positive feedback on our quality, we proposed to visit their workspace and take on the assembly of parts. [Solution] Even for high-difficulty tasks, we were able to quickly identify the causes of difficulties and create jigs as solutions by the next day. Additionally, we prepared items like cards to prevent misidentification of similar parts without needing to be asked. They appreciated our constant consideration for improvement methods.

Our company was established as a manufacturer of the electronic circuits that are the heart of leakage circuit breakers. In the millions to tens of millions of units, even a single defect is unacceptable. With the commitment to "create products that will operate reliably even after 50 years," we have focused on manual work since our founding. With this commitment in mind, we have adopted the philosophy of "better manufacturing." This time, I would like to introduce a case of a company that was looking for a manufacturer with production capacity after placing an order larger than usual with a company they had requested. [Challenge] They were regularly ordering 50 units per month from another company, but when they placed an order for 100 units in a single month, they were unable to accommodate it and were looking for a company with manufacturing capacity. [Proposal] Since they were seeking a complete copy with CE (Copy Exactly), I proposed that we conduct multiple prototypes to receive their evaluation. [Resolution] There were no issues with quality, and we received positive feedback on the third prototype. They were also very pleased that the mark printing on the wires was faithfully reproduced with CE in mind. They expressed their admiration for our ability to deliver on time, regardless of when or how much they ordered.

We have equipment like lead wire processing machines and a number of knowledgeable veteran staff members. This time, we would like to introduce a case of a company that was looking for a partner capable of wiring and soldering cables used for sensors and tire power. 【Challenge】 A company that wanted to sell remote-controlled cars as programming educational materials for elementary school students was searching for a company that could assemble the car and perform wiring and soldering for cables used for sensors and tire power. 【Proposal】 Since the company did not own a factory, we proposed to provide sample products and handle the selection of wires (cables), soldering, and cable assembly. 【Solution】 We created a step-by-step manual with photos and carefully coordinated the future processes. After several exchanges with the client, a detailed manual was completed, and they were very pleased with its thoroughness. Previously, they had been using a lighter to heat the wires, which sometimes caused them to melt, but since our company has been engaged in cable-related work for many years, we delivered the products to their satisfaction.

This time, we would like to introduce a case of a company that was in trouble because they had outsourced the cutting of lead wires to a length of 300mm, but there were no companies willing to take on the job. [Challenge] They had outsourced the cutting of lead wires to a length of 300mm, but the company that was handling it went out of business. [Proposal] We suggested that the customer send us a sample to evaluate the quality and processing techniques before deciding whether to proceed with the cutting of lead wires to a length of 300mm. [Resolution] We confirmed that we would always send a sample to check for quality issues, and the customer was pleased with the processing quality and our responsiveness of the delivered lead wires. Additionally, they were very happy that the delivery time, which had previously taken about three weeks, was reduced to two weeks.

We have equipment like lead wire processing machines, and a large number of knowledgeable veteran staff members. This time, we would like to introduce a case from a company that was troubled by damaged or broken core wires due to in-house processing of lead wires. [Challenge] The company was facing issues with damaged core wires and multiple breakages due to in-house processing of lead wires. [Proposal] We proposed that instead of manual processing, we could set the blades for each wire diameter using machines, and with 60 skilled technicians available, we could handle the task effectively. [Resolution] Since the condition of copper wire changes with humidity and temperature, we managed the room temperature according to the situation and made precise blade settings for the copper wire. We optimized the stripping blade's engagement. This allowed us to allocate time spent on production to other value-added tasks, making the process easier and resulting in a defect rate of zero, which was greatly appreciated.

[Proposal] We proposed to the company that they provide us with drawings and specifications, and we would supply samples. We suggested that with our delivery times and multiple production lines, we could provide the service in a shorter period than their previous in-house processing. [Resolution] The total cost was reduced compared to in-house production, and the management workload for process management, work guidance, and quality records decreased. This allowed the on-site personnel to be reallocated to higher value-added processes, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, Pearcom conducts 100% visual inspections of lead wires, with the capability of inspecting 50,000 pieces per day. We have the production capacity to perform visual inspections of up to 1 million pieces per month.

Paircom Co., Ltd. was established as a company that manufactures the electronic circuits, which are the heart of leakage circuit breakers. Since our work is primarily manual, we cannot claim that there are absolutely no defects. However, because we are committed to the philosophy of "better manufacturing," our defect rate is exceptionally low. When hiring, we have one condition: whether for full-time employees or part-time workers, those who perform soldering work must have no prior experience. This applies to subcontractors as well. Unfortunately, individuals who have experience with other companies cannot keep up with our quality standards. They cannot abandon the complacency of thinking, "If a human does it, there will be one defect out of ten thousand." The mindset of "one defect is acceptable" does not apply at Paircom. On the surface, soldering may seem like a mundane task. However, we are performing a completely different level of work, even if it looks identical. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
