NKT Photonics' supercontinuum laser is the only light source that achieves both high beam quality < 1.1, which is a critical metric during use, and long-term stable operation. The supercontinuum laser is an ultra-broadband pulse light source that emits coherent and intense light through complex nonlinear optical processes within highly nonlinear optical fibers, represented by Photonic Crystal Fiber, using ultrashort pulse lasers such as picosecond and femtosecond lasers. Most applications of supercontinuum light sources selectively extract limited regions from a wide spectrum. Therefore, NKT Photonics also offers Plug & Play SuperK accessories that provide the necessary filtering functions.
