Asahi Kiki Service Co., Ltd. has established a new logistics base, the Yokohama Kohoku Sales Office, in Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The new office is located in a prime area just about one minute from the Kohoku Interchange on the Third Keihin Road, thanks to the opening and improvement of the Yokohama Kohoku JCT, significantly enhancing the convenience of the location. The Kanagawa Route 7 Yokohama Northwest Line, which opened fully in March 2020, connects the Third Keihin Road with the Tomei Expressway, providing high convenience not only to the city center and the entire Kanto region but also to all of Eastern Japan, as well as the Tokai and Kansai regions. Leveraging this advantageous location, we plan to also engage in direct delivery of small-lot cargo limited to the region this term. By introducing a Warehouse Management System (WMS), we are actively working towards the realization of "smart logistics" through automation and labor-saving measures in logistics operations, reducing labor burdens, improving work efficiency, and considering the environment. In the Asia-Pacific's largest large-scale logistics facility "ESR Amagasaki DC," operations will commence in April 2022. Asahi Kiki Service Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Koichi Shizume, Headquarters: Setagaya, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "Asahi Kiki Service") has been entrusted with the Kansai Distribution Center operations by Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. (Chairman and President: Kazuya Ogawa, Headquarters: Minato, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "Zimmer Biomet"). This operation will begin in April 2022 at the "ESR Amagasaki Distribution Center" (hereinafter referred to as "ESR Amagasaki DC"), one of the largest large-scale logistics facilities in the Asia-Pacific region, located in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. Zimmer Biomet selected Asahi Kiki Service as their logistics partner to revamp their existing logistics system and build a new logistics framework in response to the increased volume of goods due to business expansion and the resulting congestion. Moving forward, as Zimmer Biomet's logistics partner, we will introduce a new warehouse management system to swiftly deliver Zimmer Biomet's solutions and cutting-edge medical technologies to healthcare professionals and patients, while also working on reducing logistics costs and improving the entire supply chain.
