Additionally, the options for modeling materials have increased, including high-performance resins and elastomers, broadening the range of combinations. This time, we focus on one of those diverse combinations: hard materials and soft materials with different hardness levels. We set up the "Tumaker" equipped with an IDEX dual head with PLA filament and rubber material "Toho A85" pellets, and challenged continuous printing by directly layering the rubber material on top of PLA without using adhesives or stopping midway. This time, we tried insert molding on a 3D printed model! We created the insert model using the SLA printer "Form 4." After that, we injected soft materials using the "Moiton M2-I." Do you have any of these concerns? - It's difficult to remove burrs from orthogonal intersecting holes by hand. - There is variability in the quality of the finished product. - However, it seems wasteful to use a large machine just for this task. The solution to these problems is the small cutting machine "Yornew MX220." By performing burr removal with this machine, you can expect stable quality and speed in processing without variability. This time, we prepared workpieces with intersecting holes that were drilled with a different machine (with burrs remaining inside) and verified whether the MX220 could effectively remove the burrs.
