We would like to introduce the effects of the "Raiden Unit" handled by FPC Co., Ltd. We conducted a "cooling test using the evaporative heat of the layered FAN cover" by using a towel that has been heated with hot water and thoroughly wrung out to simulate the underwear or skin surface when sweating. A cooling unit was placed in the center of the towel, and a temperature sensor was attached to the heat-absorbing plate. As a result of the test, the surface temperature of the back, where the heat-absorbing plate directly contacts, showed a cooling effect of approximately -10°C within 5 minutes. The "Reidan Unit" is a heating and cooling device that utilizes a double cooling method of "contact cooling" and "evaporative cooling." It can be worn under existing wear (such as protective clothing, dustproof clothing, surgical gowns, etc.), making it usable in various environments where regular air-conditioned work clothing cannot be worn, and significant improvements in workplace conditions are expected. The double cooling method generates a cooling effect by utilizing conductive cooling (contact cooling) and evaporative heat. The role of conductive cooling is to directly absorb heat from the skin and cool it while simultaneously removing the humidity that rises from sweating as condensation, thereby reducing discomfort levels.
