CysGlu-Dan, like Dansyl-GSH, can react with "soft" electrophilic reactive metabolites such as quinones and epoxides, as well as with "hard" electrophilic reactive metabolites, allowing for the sensitive detection of a broader range of reactive metabolites. ◆R00845 Dap-Dan This reagent can trap and detect reactive 1-O-acyl glucuronides generated during the glucuronidation process, as well as aldehydes produced through rearrangement. ◆R00847 Cys-Dan This reagent can trap and detect reactive acyl-CoA generated during the metabolic processes of fatty acids. These trapping reagents were developed by a group led by Professor Tomoyuki Oe at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Keio University.
