The Jinizer Hand Extruder is a low-cost micro-liposomal extrusion tool. It comes with two gas-sealed syringes, the extruder body, and a stabilization block. The extruder body of the Jinizer Hand Extruder is made of 316L stainless steel for pharmaceutical applications. Compared to plastic extruders from other manufacturers, 316L stainless steel has a longer lifespan and can protect the extruder body from damage.

Liposomes have grown to become an important biomedical carrier system. One of the most significant factors affecting the performance of liposomes is particle size. Methods to reduce the size of liposomes include high-pressure homogenization, extrusion, and ultrasonic irradiation. Among these, extrusion is a relatively mild and rapid method. The Genizer jacketed liposome extruder uses a nitrogen gas cylinder to extrude a liposome suspension of drugs, proteins, or genes through a track-etched membrane with a specified pore size. Typically, about 5 to 10 passes are sufficient to create samples of a consistent liposome size. The Genizer jacketed liposome extruder is designed to minimize dead volume and produce uniform unilamellar liposomes or lipopolyplexes.

Compared to air pressure and hydraulic liquid processing devices, the hand homogenizer can be considered an environmentally friendly and budget-friendly mini homogenizer. It is a manual high-pressure homogenizer that operates by moving the pump handle up and down. It does not require a PLC control system or electricity, making it particularly suitable for basic experimental work involving small amounts of liquid samples. The mini pump of the hand homogenizer is specially designed to supply the appropriate pressure for the flow of the product. When the pump handle is lifted, a small amount of sample is drawn into the mini pump body.

• Homogenizer

The NanoGizer 30K from Genaizer is an electric benchtop, laboratory-scale high-pressure homogenizer specially developed for bacterial and cell lysis (such as yeast and E. coli). This machine supports laboratory research and development as well as small-scale production at ultra-high pressures (maximum pressure of 45,000 psi/3,000 bar). Additionally, it does not require hydraulic oil or compressed air. It is available in both 3D printer specifications and stainless steel specifications. The NanoGizer is equipped with a microfluidic diamond interaction chamber that features nano-sized microchannels, providing high shear force and strong impact to formulations, enabling the dispersion of nanoparticles and the disruption of nano-cells. The NanoGizer utilizes this diamond interaction chamber technology and is widely used in fields such as pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, cosmetics, food, and dairy products. It is also capable of experiments ranging from particle size reduction to cell disruption, nanoemulsions, nanodispersions, and liposomes.
