At Orb, we provide middleware specialized in payment using distributed ledger technology (broadly defined as blockchain) that can be utilized by companies, municipalities, and various communities to build their own currencies (such as proprietary payment systems). Payment systems dealing with digital currencies require accuracy, immediacy, as well as resistance to tampering, availability, and scalability. The setup and processing of digital currencies are becoming increasingly complex, but by using our middleware, you can significantly reduce the costs and operational risks associated with building a challenging payment system. Recently, many companies are considering the establishment of their own currencies (such as proprietary payment systems) in addition to other payment methods to enhance customer engagement through the internal use of payment data and to reduce transaction fees. We believe that meeting this demand is the value we provide at Orb.
Business Activities
We at Orb aimed to develop a unique currency platform, and our fundamental development policy was to utilize distributed ledger technologies such as blockchain to meet high security requirements, including resistance to tampering and availability in payment systems. However, we determined that blockchain could not achieve sufficient processing speed (including the inability to finalize transactions instantly), so we developed our own distributed ledger technology that maintains the strengths of blockchain, such as resistance to tampering and availability, while achieving the processing speed and scalability necessary for payments. The "Orb DLT" provided by Orb features the following three characteristics: 01: A unique distributed ledger technology specialized for payments 02: The ability to flexibly configure and rigorously process complex digital currency behaviors 03: Provision as middleware that allows application developers to accommodate various use cases In addition to providing distributed ledger technology, Orb DLT also offers external connection APIs necessary for unique payments/unique PAY, enabling flexible and easy implementation of external integrations (such as "Bank Pay").
