The Closed Loop Stepping System, unlike the common Open Loop Stepping, is a stepping system that applies a closed-loop control method, receiving feedback from a high-precision encoder mounted on the motor to constantly grasp the current position and make position corrections as needed. Because it always knows the current position, it is a servo system that does not experience loss of steps. Additionally, the Closed Loop Stepping System has a stable holding force when stopped, preventing hunting, and has the characteristic of automatically returning to the target position even if position errors occur due to external forces such as machine vibrations. In contrast, in the case of general Open Loop Stepping, the motor cannot utilize 100% of its torque due to the consideration of situations where loss of steps may occur, whereas the Closed Loop Stepping System provided by FASTECH can fully utilize 100% of its torque.
