We would like to introduce a case where the color LED label printer 'Pro1040' was implemented at Dōjin Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells reagents. The company previously used a thermal printer with ink ribbons. Since only one color of film could be set at a time, it was difficult to adjust the position, often resulting in misalignment. To print ten labels, they sometimes had to print around 30 to 40, leading to significant waste costs. After introducing our product, the printing labor for red-black labels was reduced to one-fourth of that of the thermal printer, allowing the workforce to decrease from four people to effectively 2.5. At this factory, approximately 4,000 press molds are managed, and the daily inbound and outbound management, as well as inventory tasks, were a considerable burden. During the verification process, the management numbers engraved on the metal press molds were monitored visually, which became a source of effort and errors. In an environment where resistance to water and oil is required, color labels without surface protection such as lamination were utilized on the molds, resulting in a successful 70% reduction in the on-site inspection for inventory tasks. Customers reported that, without any significant changes in operations, the labor for verification tasks was reduced to less than one-third.
