It is made using a traditional sand-bathing roasting method, which involves a four-step roasting process at low heat for an extended period, allowing the heat to penetrate deep into the barley. Finally, it is roasted at high heat to bring out a rich aroma. The ingredients used are carefully selected six-row barley from Hyogo Prefecture. The barley's outer husk is removed, and the barley is polished, washed, soaked, and then steamed before being dried and roasted thoroughly using a four-pot far-infrared roasting method. Since the barley husk is removed, it achieves a clean taste and aroma without bitterness or off-flavors, as it does not burn. This caffeine-free tea can be enjoyed cold in the summer and hot in the winter.
