We would like to introduce the "Cryptosporidium Testing" conducted at our center. Cryptosporidium and Giardia (hereinafter referred to as "Cryptosporidium, etc.") are chlorine-resistant pathogenic microorganisms (protozoa) that are difficult to eliminate with chlorine used for disinfecting tap water. When the water source of tap water is contaminated with animal-derived Cryptosporidium, etc., it can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever, leading to large-scale outbreaks in the water supply area. The testing methods for Cryptosporidium, etc. are established by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in the "Guidelines for Measures Against Cryptosporidium, etc. in Water Supply." We conduct "Fluorescent Antibody Staining - Microscopic Examination" using a microscope, as well as indicator bacteria testing to confirm contamination. • Water quality testing

We would like to introduce the analysis of "organic fluorine compounds (PFOS and PFOA)" conducted at our center. "PFOS" and "PFOA" are organic compounds that contain carbon-fluorine bonds and are types of "PFAS" (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has designated PFOS and PFOA as water quality management target items starting from April 1, 2020, setting a provisional target value of 50 ng/L or less (for the total of PFOS and PFOA). At our center, we conduct analysis of the two substances, PFOS and PFOA, for which provisional target values have been established, in drinking water and well water. • Water quality testing

Our center conducts "water quality testing" based on the Water Supply Act as a registered testing organization recognized by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. Water quality testing includes physicochemical tests and microbiological tests to confirm the suitability or unsuitability for drinking. All water quality tests necessary for reporting to administrative agencies are conducted.
