The Shimane Prefecture Ironworks Association is a cooperative organization that consists of companies and individuals engaged in the manufacturing, processing, and repair of machinery, equipment, metals, and their parts within Shimane Prefecture. Based on the spirit of mutual assistance among its members, the association conducts necessary joint projects for its members, promotes their independent economic activities, and aims to improve their economic status. The Ironworks Association organizes collective purchasing of materials needed by its members and supplies them, as well as develops joint ordering projects where it acts as an intermediary for large public works and major construction projects.
