This is an introduction to ELSI (Earth-Life Science Institute, Tokyo Institute of Technology).

The Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) is a world-class research institution affiliated with the Institute of Future Society Creation at Tokyo University of Science (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology). Established in 2012 under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "WPI Program (World Premier International Research Center Initiative)," it conducts research that tackles fundamental mysteries of humanity, such as the "origins and evolution of Earth and life" and the "possibility of extraterrestrial life."
