オンキヨー Product Lineup

"Onkyo ear" is a sound detection system that collects and analyzes sound and vibrations to understand and assess conditions. We provide a comprehensive service from data acquisition using microphones and vibration sensors to analysis by AI and visualization on a management screen. We also accommodate individual customization based on the usage environment and purpose. Furthermore, by integrating the processes of collection, analysis, and management, we can efficiently utilize sound and vibration data. 【Features】 ■ Design based on site conditions ■ Individual customization tailored to operations ■ Centralized data access via smartphone and web *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case study on the quantification of abnormal sound inspection at Onkyo. Traditionally, subjective sensory inspections have relied solely on the experience of the inspectors, leading to challenges in skill transfer, sharing of judgment criteria, and standardization of inspection quality. By using a smartphone and microphone to collect and store operational sounds and abnormal noises from the products under inspection, we conducted analysis and abnormal sound judgment using AI. We established an abnormal sound judgment flow utilizing data from normal and abnormal sounds, and by combining sound data with the judgments of skilled inspectors, we built an inspection system that does not rely solely on the experience of the inspectors. The transition to data-driven inspections has achieved standardization of inspection quality and improved quality traceability. [Challenges] ■ Subjective sensory inspections relied on the ears of skilled inspectors. ■ There was a need to establish an inspection system that does not depend solely on the experience of the inspectors and to facilitate skill transfer. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

We will introduce a case where automatic judgment of work completion and abnormalities was achieved through process sound analysis, leading to a reduction in defects. During the launch of mass production lines for new products and the transfer of production to overseas factories, variability in judgment and the occurrence of defects within the process were significant challenges. By implementing a system that analyzes sounds during the process using AI, we were able to utilize AI judgment for event sounds such as parts fitting and screw tightening completion as a mistake-proofing measure. This stabilized work quality, reduced variability in judgment, contributed to defect reduction, and improved work efficiency and quality on the production line through standardized rules. [Challenges] - Variability in judgment and occurrence of defects within the process - Promotion of standardization during the launch of mass production lines for new products and the transfer of production to overseas factories *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

We will introduce a case study that improved operational efficiency and quality. There were challenges related to relying on the intuition of skilled workers for decision-making and skill transfer, as well as responding to tool damage and equipment downtime. However, by implementing this case study, we were able to record the judgments of skilled workers, thereby preventing troubles and enhancing productivity. It is possible to measure immediately in the necessary locations by simply carrying a smartphone and a microphone, allowing for trial implementation without large-scale equipment construction. [Challenges] - Tool damage and equipment downtime occurred due to reliance on human intuition. - It was difficult to address skill transfer and prevent equipment troubles. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

We will introduce examples that contributed to shortening the development schedule and improving quality. As the evaluation of subtle sounds such as motor noise, gear noise, and interior rattling sounds has become a challenge due to electrification, this case utilized Onkyo's acoustic analysis technology to achieve portable fine sound measurement on-site. By leveraging unique acoustic/frequency analysis know-how for measurement and analysis, we have realized faster evaluations. 【Target Audience】 ■ Automotive, motorcycle, EV, and in-vehicle module manufacturers ■ NVH evaluation, research and development, and performance evaluation engineers *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

We will introduce a case where we utilized Onkyo's advanced acoustic analysis technology to support design improvements for noise reduction and low vibration. When struggling to identify the causes of acoustic and vibration issues, we leveraged this case as a partner and achieved improvements in quiet performance and differentiation in the market using advanced analysis and analytical know-how. [Challenges] ■ Struggled to identify the causes of acoustic and vibration issues ■ Quietness was a differentiating factor compared to competitors *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

We will introduce a case where Onkyo's noise processing technology and portable measurement were utilized to achieve accurate sound data acquisition even in outdoor noise environments. In this case, the challenges were the quantification and efficiency of sound inspection and visual inspection of structures. By leveraging Onkyo's noise processing technology and portable measurement, accurate sound data could be obtained even in outdoor noise environments, enabling high-precision sound data acquisition and analysis. 【Results and Effects】 ■ Inspection Efficiency: Easy portability outdoors, enabling high-precision sound data acquisition and analysis. ■ Digitalization of Inspection Data: Accurate sound/vibration data can be managed collectively online, allowing for inspections that do not rely on human input. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
