DSRC On-Board Unit Tester ME9100E

ETC/ITS spot compatible! Completely one-piece type, compact and lightweight!

The DSRC vehicle-mounted device tester ME9100E is a tester that checks whether the vehicle-mounted device installed in a vehicle communicates properly at the wireless level. It is an essential tool for automobile dealers, car accessory stores, or automotive maintenance companies that perform installation work on vehicle-mounted devices, ensuring that they provide customers with equipment that operates reliably. The tester sends FCMC from ME9100E and checks whether ACTC and WCNC return correctly from the vehicle-mounted device. The power automatically turns off after about 6 seconds from the start of the test (approximately 8 seconds for the DSRC vehicle-mounted device), which extends battery life. It can conduct approximately 500 tests. This is the successor to the ME9100. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

The relationship between noise level and noise figure NF.

Technical Data: Low Noise Amplifier MAP301/302

■Low Noise Amplifier MAP301/302 Ideal for radiated noise measurement. For example, when passing through an amplifier with a 20dB gain, the input signal is amplified by 20dB at the output. This is understandable. But what happens to the noise? This is not well understood. In other words, while the signal is amplified by 20dB, if the noise is also amplified by 20dB, wouldn't the appearance of the signal remain the same? No, it is different. Let's consider the definition of NF (Noise Figure).

Measurement frequency: 50kHz to 3.3GHz ■ DTF Adapter MA430 Measures the location of cable faults and the length of normal cables. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.* With the current TDR-type measuring instruments, some can only detect reflection points at the end of the cable. Additionally, they may have poor distance accuracy and slow measurement response. However, the MSA438TG + DTF (MA430) provides accurate distance measurements and faster response compared to these. Our DTF function can measure from 1m to 800m for 75Ω cables, accommodating typical indoor or apartment cable lengths (10 to 100m) and trunk lines (200 to 800m).

On the correlation between a standard EMC anechoic chamber and a simplified EMI testing system 2

Technical Data: Simple EMI Test System R2300

■EMI Testing System MR2300 Ideal for preliminary compliance testing for official EMI tests, known as "Pre-compliance." This is an integrated system that combines our spectrum analyzer technology, anechoic chamber technology, and antenna technology. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. In Section 1, we explained the differences in measurement results between the standard EMC anechoic chamber (hereinafter referred to as the test site) and the simplified EMI testing system MR2300 (hereinafter referred to as MR2300). In Section 2, we have newly added the shielded tent-type simplified anechoic chamber MY5723 and on-site measurements to the measurement environment. Furthermore, we standardized and changed the antennas in four environments other than the test site to the biconical antenna MAN150B, and we will conduct comparisons based on the differences in measurement environments.

I measured the radio waves of LoRa (920MHz band: LPWA).

The MSA500 series signal analyzer's real-time mode allows you to capture LoRa signals.

We received an inquiry about whether the MSA500 series can measure LoRa signals, and we conducted actual measurements. LoRa is one of the LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) technologies that uses the 920MHz band, and its name comes from "Long Range." It can communicate directly over distances of up to 10 km and is characterized by low power consumption.

Example 2 of applying DSRC roadside systems for traffic congestion surveys.

[Application Case] How to Build a Traffic Survey Using ETC On-Board Units with the DSRC Roadside System ME9300 via LTE Connection

Method for constructing a traffic congestion survey using ETC on-board units via LTE connection with the DSRC roadside system ME9300 The DSRC roadside system ME9300 is a system that utilizes ETC, which is used on highways. It communicates with the ETC on-board units installed in vehicles to obtain a unique ID called WCN (Wireless Call Number). By utilizing this WCN, it can be applied to traffic congestion surveys between two points on a specific route. The WCN obtained by ME9301 (DSRC antenna) is transmitted to ME9302 (interface box) via ME9303 (dedicated I/F cable). Since ME9302 is equipped with an Ethernet port, it is possible to transfer the obtained WCN to external PCs, etc., through LAN, WAN, and other connections. Additionally, external PCs can control the start and end of WCN acquisition for the ME9300 system. Here, we present an example of constructing a traffic congestion survey system using wireless configuration with LTE connection on ME9300. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Electromagnetic Shielding Box Comprehensive Catalog

This is a catalog covering our radio wave dark boxes and shielded boxes.

With the recent proliferation of information wireless communication devices such as mobile phones, wireless LANs, RF-ID tags, and ETC, the necessity for wireless testing has increased. Wireless testing must be conducted in anechoic environments that are shielded from external noise and free from internal radio wave reflections. While using a radio anechoic chamber is ideal, it requires a large space and significant costs. Particularly in the wireless testing processes on production lines, the devices being tested are not yet certified, so it is not permissible for signal waves to leak externally. A radio anechoic box/shielded box meets the conditions of being shielded from external noise, having no internal radio wave reflections, and preventing signal waves from leaking outside. We have a variety of models of radio anechoic boxes and shielded boxes to meet our customers' diverse needs. Additionally, we offer customization based on customer requests.

Antenna gain measurement using the standard antenna method.

[Application Example] We will introduce a method for measuring antenna gain using the standard antenna method with a radio wave dark box and a spectrum analyzer.

【Product Introduction】 ■ Anechoic Chamber / Shield Box Low cost, lightweight, and short delivery time! High-quality, reliable, and cost-effective anechoic chambers and shield boxes provided by a measurement instrument manufacturer. ■ Spectrum Analyzer MSA438TG Model with Tracking Generator - Measurement Frequency: 50kHz to 3.3GHz ■ Signal Analyzer MSA538TG Model with Tracking Generator - Measurement Frequency: 20kHz to 3.3GHz To evaluate antenna gain, a calibrated standard antenna or an anechoic chamber is typically required, but using a spectrum analyzer with a tracking generator and an anechoic chamber allows for simple evaluation. - The gain of the EUT is determined by comparison with a reference antenna (an antenna with known gain). - The measurement environment is the same as for radiation pattern measurements, conducted in an anechoic chamber (shield box). - Typically, dipole or log-periodic antennas are used in the MHz range, and horn antennas are used in the GHz range.
